Needless to say I weaned at 6 months because I had to be on a completely dairy free diet while breastfeeding and I was sick of it. I felt selfish and bad but also confident that it was right for me. I support moms doing what is right for them. Just because someone can breastfeed doesn't mean that it is right for them. If you want someone to come hang out and bottle feed their baby with you I am totally in. No side eye from me. I had planned on breastfeeding but because he had already started with bottles and because I had to spend time taking care of me, I never tried.....and I have never regretted the decision. In fact, with our daughters, we used formula from the beginning. The only issue I ever had was holding my tongue when others told me that my children would not be as smart or as healthy as those who were breastfed.
